History
The Oratory was realised thanks to Green Properties PLC, who made a very generous gift of a beautiful building to seat 70 people. The Archbishop of Dublin and the Capuchin Franciscan Friars fitted out and staffed the beautiful facility and so it became the hidden gem it is today.
The shopping centre, the size of Limerick City, serves 280,000 people each week (1999) with almost 200 successful businesses. At the moment 1,100 people visit The Oratory each week, they come from far and wide; Donegal to Cork, even New Zealand! All those who visit are delighted by the experience.
We are deeply indebted to the centre manager and his staff for their good will and practical support in so many ways. And so sincerest thanks to Mr. Aidan Grimes.
